Scratch and Dent Hardbacks came with imperfect dust jackets. In most cases they are merely misaligned, though some may have other minor cosmetic damage. In nearly all cases, a misaligned dustjacket can be fixed with patience. There are numerous tutorials online that give tips on how to iron them flat and refold them. These fixed ones are usually not 'good as new' but still look great on a shelf. Scratch and Dent comes as is and are not returnable.

After Moses has been an intriguing near-future look at humanity launched on a trajectory trying to escape the confines of its star and failing to achieve escape velocity. The story has depth, excellent world-building, character development, and all the great elements of a top-tier tale.
Wormwood is the soul of this series. Kane maintains the action and intrigue of the series overall, but Wormwood takes us deeper into human motivations for sin and righteous actions. Character face the struggle of spirit versus flesh in the way that Paul speaks of in Romans 7. There is a grand nobility in the attempts to save humanity both at the beginning and end of the book. Within the middle, there are parts that I was legitimately crying as I read as I faced the fear of losing major characters either to death or damnation.
Redemption is a hard thing. Impossible when we face it alone. Kane highlights this impossibility and the grace that comes through forgiveness and support from friends and family. He also shows well how closure can help the healing process.
I cannot wait to begin the next installment to the series and only wonder if Michael is interested in production of his series into television or movie media.
Humanity needs stories like this.
